2026 Southside Neighborhood Well-Being Survey
The Southside Promise Neighborhoods Child & Family Well-Being Survey is being conducted by the Spartanburg Academic Movement (SAM) in partnership with Strategic Spartanburg and with support from the City of Spartanburg. We believe that the people who know the Southside best are the individuals and families who call it home. That is why we are inviting you to participate in this important community survey.
As part of our Southside Promise Blueprint Promise Neighborhoods initiative, we are seeking to better understand how residents are experiencing life in the Southside and to learn more about the experiences of children, youth, and families in the community. We want to hear directly from you about your neighborhood, your family's well-being, the opportunities available to children and young people, and the challenges that families may face.
The information gathered through this survey will help community leaders, organizations, schools, and residents better understand community strengths, identify areas where additional support may be needed, and guide future investments, programs, and partnerships that help children and families thrive. Most importantly, it will help ensure that future decisions are informed by the lived experiences of Southside residents.
We understand that completing a survey requires time, and we deeply appreciate your willingness to participate. As a thank you for sharing your perspective, each household that completes the survey will receive a $25 gift card. In addition, all completed surveys will be entered into a drawing for a $500 gift card. Please note that there is a limit of one gift card and one raffle entry per household. Your responses will be kept confidential and will only be reported in summary form. Individual responses will not be shared publicly.
